Senior Supt. Jose Jeorge Corpuz, deputy director for operations of the police in Southern Mindanao and head of Task Force Camangyan, confirmed to the Inquirer that they were already coordinating with the prosecutors office for the filing of case against the alleged gunman.
He said they have witnesses, one of them the wife of Camangyan, Ruth, who helped them identify the suspect.
Corpuz, however, refused to identify the suspect and also chose not to disclose the motive as it might derail their operations.
He assured the family of Camangyan that the police are closely watching the suspect.
“We are closely monitoring him. He is still in the area. The witness has identified him as the one who shot the victim,†Corpuz told the Inquirer by phone.
