Just a few minutes after announcing the eviction of the Medical Mission Group and Health Services Cooperative (MMG-HSC) from its occupied building, City Mayor Dan Lim withdrew his order by giving a one-week deadline for negotiations to start with the hospital management.

The mayor, who spoke during the 10th National General Assembly of the MMG Hospitals Federation at the Bohol Heritage Hotel last Monday, initially explained to the gathering his reasons for terminating the lease agreement of the city government property occupied by the Tagbilaran Coop Hospital.

However, during the open forum in the same meeting, the mayor retracted his earlier statement saying he will give another chance to the management of the hospital to convince him that the lease contract be renewed.
