Also cancelled were trips of MV Starcraft 2 from Tubigon to Cebu City, MV Starcraft 6 from Tubigon to Cebu City, MV Starcraft 9 from Tubigon to Cebu City, MV J&N Carrier from Ubay, Bohol to Cebu City, MV Lady of Guadalupe Cebu from Ubay, Bohol to Bato, Leyte.
The Cebu province and city disaster risk reduction management offices have been on alert as of yesterday morning due to continuous rainfall that could trigger landslide and flashfloods in eas.
Cebu’s Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office Information Officer Julius Regner said PDRRMO personnel are on standby for monitoring and sending out advisories to local government units (LGUs) and directed to activate disaster response measures.
Families living in low-lying and landslide-prone areas have also been advised to take precautionary measures, he said.
The Office of the Civil Defense in Central Visayas (OCD-7) has also activated its personnel to monitor geo-hazard areas in the region as Seniang made landfall yesterday.
