Press Release - In support to the country’s goal to increase the productivity and competitiveness of Philippine exporters, the Bureau of Customs collaborated with the DTI-Export Marketing Bureau (EMB) and the DOF-TRADENET Project Management Office (PMO) during the Export Webinar on the “Philippine Implementation of the Electronic Certificate of Origin (e-CO) Form and TRADENET System” on 18 June 2021.
This initiative also supports the Bureau’s 10-Point Priority Program to promote the use of the National Single Window (NSW) to relevant stakeholders through the conduct of workshops and webinars.
During the webinar, the DOF TRADENET PMO provided an introduction on how the TradeNet.gov.ph serves as the country’s NSW System, its interconnection to the ASEAN Single Window (ASW) System, and how exporters can benefit from using the system.
Mr. John Gerick A. Lasac, OIC Chief of the BOC Export Coordination Division, also discussed the operational procedures on how to apply for an e-CO based on Customs Memorandum Order No. CMO 15-2019 which was signed by Commissioner Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero on March 18, 2019.
The step-by-step process on how to apply for a TRADENET account and can be found under the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) Section of the BOC Customer Care Portal. Clients may access the Customer Care Portal using this link
https://client.customs.gov.ph.
The approved e-CO, as issued by the BOC Export Coordination Division, is automatically sent to the NSWs of other ASEAN Member States through the ASEAN Single Window (ASW) System. If the e-CO is successfully received by the importing NSW, through an acknowledgment response, the exporter does not need to send the hardcopy CO through courier services. This would facilitate trade by reducing the time and cost in doing business with other ASEAN Member States. With the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, this initiative would also allow traders to observe health protocols by eliminating the circulation of paper documents within the region.
For e-Cos received from other AMS, clients may enter the reference number of the e-CO using the Philippines TRADENET e-Tracking Tool developed by the DOF TRADENET PMO. The e-CO Philippine Tracking Tool is accessible at
