Press Release - The PH delegation sent by President Duterte arrives in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Saturday, June 19. The team led by Special Envoy PAFA Robert E.A. Borje was welcomed by Deputy Minister for Protocol Affairs H.E. Kahlid Al Sahli at the King Khalid International Airport.
Joining the Philippine delegation are DFA Usec. Sarah Lou Arriola, DFA Asec. Enrico Fos, and PCOO Assistant Secretary JV Arcena.
The official visit to the kingdom aimed at enhancing bilateral ties, advancing labor reform cooperation and ensuring the welfare of Filipinos in the Arab country. It is also in line with President Rodrigo Duterte’s promise of Kalinga at Malasakit for overseas Filipino (OFWs), especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
