Press Releaelse: As part of the Bureau of Customs 10 Point Priority Program, the Philippine Customs Modernization Program (PCMP) is set to launch on 26 March 2021. A virtual ceremony will be conducted to be attended by the members of the Project Steering Committee composed of Department of Finance, Bureau of Customs, Department of Budget & Management, Department of Trade & Industry, Department of Agriculture, Food & Drug Administration, Philippine Ports Authority, and Philippine Economic Zone Authority.
The project is undertaken in line with the continuous efforts of the agency to be a modernized customs administration at par with global standards.
With the support of the World Bank Group, the PCMP will focus on transitioning from a largely manual and paper-based organization to a modernized Bureau of Customs, achieving global standards and full modernization by 2024.
