Modesty aside, I was the best moonwalker while I was in college.  Earlier, when I was younger, people would cry when I sang "Ben" during programs. In high school I also sang "One Day in Your Life" in public. MJ was indeed one great influence in my aborted musical career.

Channel 10 news in Philippines had a wonderful local news coverage regarding Jacksons passing away.

Loren Logarta had asked him a question during his visit to Philippines during the late 90's and while he was inside of a maternity ward blessing newborn babies and small children as he said he loved children because they were little angles.

The song he told Logarta when she was a news woman that he would dedicate to the Philippines was his song "Heal the World".

I considered that to be very touching and he said he enjoyed visiting the Philippines people the people are so friendly.

What's odd about it, Precious?  Please read previous posts. Just like you, I also watched the coverage of Michael Jackson's death in CNN.

Koddi,

You can re-launch your music career by singing "Ben" during our EB, not only for me but for all TB friends. It would make a wonderful theme song for the EB. We all seem to be long-lost friends gone our separate ways, and after life has dealt us our different lots are finally back to one another's company.

Ben

Ben, the two of us need look no more
We both found what we were looking for
With a friend to call my own
I'll never be alone
And you, my friend, will see
You've got a friend in me
(you've got a friend in me)

Ben, you're always running here and there
You feel you're not wanted anywhere
If you ever look behind
And don't like what you find
[ Find more Lyrics on www.mp3lyrics.org/8dGf ]
There's something you should know
You've got a place to go
(you've got a place to go)

I used to say "I" and "me"
Now it's "us", now it's "we"
I used to say "I" and "me"
Now it's "us", now it's "we"
Ben, most people would turn you away
I don't listen to a word they say
They don't see you as I do
I wish they would try to
I'm sure they'd think again
If they had a friend like Ben
(a friend) Like Ben
(like Ben) Like Ben

Modesty aside, I was the best moonwalker while I was in college.  Earlier, when I was younger, people would cry when I sang "Ben" during programs. In high school I also sang "One Day in Your Life" in public. MJ was indeed one great influence in my aborted musical career.

Kuya abi nako Barry Manilow ka

Actually, sa elementary ug high school pa tong Michael Jackson nako. I remember, kon manaygon ko, ako ra usa, ipakanta jud nila nako tong "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" with matching sayaw. Daghan gud ko'g dinaygunan adto.  In College, mga Bread, Styx, Peter Frampton, etc. tong akong gipangkanta until I settled for Nonoy Zuñiga who became popular starting 1980. So, ako ang na Nonoy Zuñiga of our school, wa juy lain mo dare og kanta sa iyang mga kanta kay hagit ma compare, he he. Your Kuya Gwargz was the Barry Manilow, although he sang MJ's "She's Out of My Life" during a Miss V pageant at the amphitheater. The rest: Dindo A (Frank Sinatra), Mando G (Martin Nievera), Junny M (Marco Sison) and Jolli G (Basil Valdez). Respetohay mi, iyahay og artist, way mokanta sa signature songs sa uban. Haay, those were the days nga giharian sa mga Bol-anon ang kanta-kanta didto niadtong halayong dapit diin kita nagtungha.

Back to topic tho,

I was contemplating on Mike's Life today and was brought to deep thought about the unpredictability of life.

That even tho--we may have successes--or graces in this life---there is NO OTHER comparison to the love and salvation that is in Jesus Christ.

Life is too fragile, too quick. But in Christ--there is no death. We sing Glory--EVERLASTING!

I think there's no doubt that he is dead.  He was close if not dead already when his body was seen wheeled out from his house and the hospital declared him dead.

He was already dead when they arrived. He was already wrapped in a white scarf. Which is a Muslim Burial Cloth. As Michael Jackson did convert to Islam several years ago.

Peace be with him.

Hehehehehhe!!! Is this real????

SANTA BARBARA, CA -During a search for evidence at the Neverland Valley Ranch, investigators discovered a corpse that has been identified as that of Michael Jackson, Santa Barbara police officials announced Tuesday.

"Coroners have officially pronounced Michael Jackson dead. From what we can tell, he died between 18 and 20 years ago," forensic investigator Tim Holbrooke said. "We are not certain, at this time, who-or what-has been standing trial in that Santa Maria courthouse."

According to Holbrooke, Jackson 's corpse was buried just inches below a stretch of the miniature-train tracks that run throughout Neverland. The largely desiccated corpse wore the remains of a red, zipper-covered leather jacket and a single glove.

"We positively identified the body as Jackson by his dental records and DNA," Holbrooke said. "But even before we conducted a single forensic test, we began to suspect that that we'd uncovered the real Michael, and that the disturbing figure claiming to be Jackson was a fake."

Holbrooke said that, although the corpse was in an advanced stage of decomposition, when investigators compared the body to early-career publicity photos of Jackson , they saw a striking resemblance in bone structure and facial features. But when they compared the body to photos taken after 1987, the resemblance was negligible.

"This discovery raises a lot of questions, but it also sheds light on a number of disturbing incidents," Holbrooke said. "Frankly, Jackson had been acting pretty strange."

Above: Investigators move Jackson 's body, found buried at Neverland Ranch (above).

Forensic experts and music critics are postulating that Jackson was dead before the release of the multi-platinum album Bad. Detectives are currently analyzing the lyrics to "Man In The Mirror" for any clues relating to a look-alike entity that many suspect murdered the youngest member of the Jackson 5 and assumed his identity.

"We believe that Neverland served as some sort of freakishly whimsical tomb constructed by Jackson 's killer," Holbrooke said. "We also suspect that all of the iniquities that occurred on that ranch were the work of the imposter. I wouldn't have ever thought it possible, but we are looking at a situation where the sexual abuse of a 13-year-old cancer patient is the tip of the iceberg."

Holbrooke said that, while the living Jackson is the leading suspect in the murder investigation, he "could be another victim of some sort."

"Basically, we have no idea what type of creature we are dealing with," Holbrooke said.

A member of the investigative team that discovered Jackson 's body described the experience as "otherworldly."

"As we neared the perimeter of Neverland, the dogs started whining and howling like crazy," Santa Barbara County detective Frank Poeller said. "We had to pull them into the house. When we got to Jackson 's bedroom, one of them almost choked himself to death on his leash trying to get out through the window. Minutes later, the same dog led us to the corpse."

A representative from Jackson 's self-created label, MJJ Productions, said he was not surprised to find out that the current Jackson is an imposter.

"When we were recording 'Heal The World' for Dangerous, I could tell something was terribly, terribly wrong," MJJ manager Luke Allard said. "Michael didn't seem like himself anymore. He'd demand bizarre food and sit for hours in a hyperbaric chamber. His appearance began to become more and more peculiar. Soon afterwards, he started wearing a mask and confiding in a chimpanzee."

"I remember thinking, 'This man has become a monster,'" Allard said. "If only I'd known how right I was."

Above: The creature that claims to be Michael Jackson.

Allard said he thinks that the imposter broke ties with Jackson 's former friends and surrounded himself with children who were too young to notice the radical change.

Vanity Fair reporter Beth Pither visited Neverland in 1994.

"A strangely fearful staff member led me to Jackson , but ran off before I opened the door," Pither said. "Standing there with my hand on an ice-cold doorknob, I heard strange, unnatural sounds-leathery wings flapping, a sorrowful wail, and loud hissing. A wave of dread passed through me as I opened the door, but all I found was Michael and some kids in pajamas eating ice cream and watching 101 Dalmatians."

While their claims have not been corroborated, other Neverland visitors have reported that when when Jackson entered a room, lights flickered, faucets ran blood-red, and screams escaped from the walls.

To aid in the investigation, the FBI enlisted Dr. Richard Weingarden, a noted expert on the paranormal from UC Santa Barbara. After only two hours, Weingarden abandoned the project.

"The smell of sulfur, the decaying facial features, the bizarrely high-pitched voice-it sounds exactly like..." Weingarden said, trailing off. "I'm sure it's nothing. Not a big deal. Nothing to be terrified about, certainly. I have to go. I've got a family."

Thomas Sneddon, the prosecutor in Jackson 's child-molestation lawsuit, said it remains to be seen how the shocking discovery will affect the trial.

Megan Gustafson, who left her post as president of the Akron , OH Michael Jackson Fan Club after the singer was accused of molestation, offered a positive view of the grisly revelation.

"This is very disturbing news," Gustafson said. "But to be honest, it's kind of a relief too. Thriller and Off The Wall are really amazing records. Now I can pull them out of my 'ruined by child abuse' storage bin and start listening to them again."

HER daddy the King of Pop lay at her feet in the splendour of a golden casket festooned with red roses.
As the spotlight fell on Michael Jackson for the final time, it was his shy little daughter Paris who provided the poignant finale.
Like her two brothers, she often wore a veil when she ventured out with her eccentric father.

But last night the brave 11-year-old bit her lip and told the world how much she loved her dad.

Tears streaming down her face as she quivered with grief, the youngster declared at his stadium funeral: "Ever since I was born Daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine."

Her voice faltering with emotion as the singer's coffin lay just feet away, she added: "And I just want to say I love him so much."

Glittering
Paris - cosseted by her father since birth - then collapsed into the arms of her aunt Janet after taking the microphone in front of 19,000 mourners. Many of those in the crowd sobbed with her.

It was a spectacle that pop's ultimate showman could have dreamt up himself.
The final show ... Jacko's golden casket was wheeled on to the Staples Center stage by pallbearers who included his brothers
Just moments earlier, Paris and her brothers - Prince, 12, and Blanket, seven - had taken to the stage for the climax of a memorial ceremony watched live on TV by a BILLION people around the world.

It began with his glittering coffin being taken into the vast Los Angeles arena by his brothers - each wearing a single jewelled glove.
Jacko's casket - borne to the venue in a motorcade with police outriders from a private family service - was greeted by a gospel choir singing: "Hallelujah, hallelujah, we're going to see the King."
Tens of thousands unable to get in after an internet lottery at the weekend for free tickets watched on giant screens outside the Staples Center - home to basketball giants the LA Lakers.
As word went round that Jacko's coffin would actually take centre stage, one woman fell to the ground screaming: "Oh my God, Michael's here. He's coming here." As his children watched, the £18,000 gold casket was solemnly placed yards from the very spot where he had rehearsed for his comeback shows at London's O2 - 48 hours before the heart attack that killed him.

Paris and her brothers sat with their gran Katherine Jackson, 79 - the boys chewing gum throughout the public celebration of their dad's life. Blanket, who dropped his programme on the way in, clutched a Michael Jackson doll.

I watched Jacko's farewell from seat two in row two of section PR5. In death as in life, it was a spectacle in parts brilliant, unpredictable, poignant and tacky. Pictures of a fresh-faced and bubble-permed little black boy from Gary, Indiana, flashed on to the screen behind Mariah Carey as she kicked things off by singing the Jackson 5 hit I'll Be There.
There were songs from legends Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie and his brother Jermaine - as well as our very own Britain's Got Talent finalist Shaheen Jafargholi aged 12.

I entered the arena - where the celebrity red carpets had been replaced by black ones - after walking past street hawkers flogging hastily cobbled-together RIP Michael T-shirts.

Security, police overtime and crowd control cost the city £2.5million - and LA's mayor set up a website begging fans to chip in with cheques payable to "City of Los Angeles". Around me as I made my way into the stadium, mourners chanted in a whisper: "God bless Michael, King of Pop".
Adoring fans - strangers until yesterday - embraced each other in sorrow. While America's mourning for Jacko has not been universal - with one Republican senator branding him a "child molester" even though the star beat abuse charges - the grief at the Staples Center was total.

Shattered construction worker Craig Downey, 42, from Chicago, said: "This is bigger than Elvis, bigger than Diana.

"Apart from my mum dying, this is the saddest moment of my life."

In the row behind me, one blonde girl who looked no more than 15 sat slumped in tears, hugging her knees as she wailed: "Michael come back." Others yelled "See you in heaven" in the direction of his coffin. The memorial show's producer Ken Ehrlich had promised a restrained ceremony without "bells and whistles".

He said: "It will be a celebration of Michael's life, but we're not approaching it as a TV show. We want to keep it low-key."

Perfect
But this was very much a Hollywood production. Systems analyst Dale Andrews, 48, who lives in LA and managed to bag a ticket, said: "This is a perfect ending for Michael - a big show with everyone singing along. He would have wanted to go out this way."

She had been jubilant to win a coveted ticket - only to find she could not get a flight. So we whisked her out to LA. Catherine said after the memorial show: "The atmosphere was absolutely incredible.
"You could just see how much Michael Jackson meant to all these people. The people sitting either side of me were sobbing their hearts out.
"Almost everyone had a Michael Jackson T-shirt on or was carrying some sort of trinket.

"I was fighting back tears myself, especially when Paris paid tribute to her dad. Jermaine's rendition of Smile was incredibly moving. But for me the moment of the whole event was when Shaheen took to the stage. He was phenomenal, he made you feel proud to be British. It was like watching a young Michael on stage."

Stevie Wonder summed up the feeling of mourners as he told them: "This is a moment I wished I didn't live to see come. Michael I love you."

Outside London's O2 arena - where Jacko had been scheduled to make a 50-concert comeback starting next week - fans defied rain to watch the memorial live on a giant TV screen. Barrister Robert Anderson, 26, said: "His whole life was a global broadcast in a way. So I suppose it's fitting that his death also is." Fans also gathered at Berlin's O2 World arena.

The wildest applause in LA came at the very end as 50-year-old Jacko's coffin was finally taken away to be buried - the house lights bouncing off its golden curves.

As the tearful and the traumatised began filing out many made their way to Jacko's star on Hollywood Boulevard's Walk of Fame.

Candles were lit among the wilting flowers that had been placed there. Jacko is wedged between Mexican-born actress Lupe Velez - who killed herself aged 36 - and alcohol-raddled Country singer Lefty Frizzell who died from a massive stroke at 47. Unlike Lefty and Lupe, there is no chance of the world forgetting Jacko in a hurry.

Whether this supremely gifted but tragically flawed man will be remembered for Thriller and Billie Jean or his bizarre lifestyle, only history will judge.

But however he is treated by posterity, the bravery of his little daughter will never be forgotten either.

RIP MJ

 :'( :) ;D
The cars being used by the family during the motorcade were donated from a local car dealership.

tickets unclaimed were being given away for free at the door.

I felt that the performers all did well and his celebrity guest friends speeches were well represented of him.

The family was kind as they greeted everyone who spoke or performed during the funeral.

Points were made about the things Micheal had advocated for in America and for the things that mattered around the world.

The most favorite part of the funeral was when one guest speaker friend of his stood at the podium and chanted to Micheal's kids telling them "Your father was not weird, it was the things that he had to put up that were weird!"   :D

I while growing up enjoyed being entertained by a wonderful artist as he was. I was happy when I had danced to his music until the wee hours into the early morning, and I am proud that I lived during the time of two great performers during their era and mine.

And I hope to hell they go after the doctor's and the pharmacists who were able to poison him to his death in medicines he did not even need.

Micheal is the MAN and it does not matter if people were black or white in his eyes before!  ;D

Color does not make one better then the other.  :)

May he rest in peace may his kind family despite there hard times not be disturbed by those who are heartless.

                    Michael Jackson casket

                            Today’s top gossip:

The burial place of Michael Jackson is still unknown, despite the star's memorial service taking place yesterday (July 7). Reports before the service stated that the singer's body would be temporarily buried at Los Angeles' Forest Lawn cemetery until the Jackson family had decided on a final resting place. However, when Forest Lawn reopened following the memorial service, there was no sign of Jackson's golden coffin going inside. It did not travel with the family as they headed to the Beverly Wilshire Hotel either.
Meanwhile, Jackson's death certificate has been released. It lists the cause of death as "deferred", Jackson's occupation as "musician" and race as "black". His sister La Toya Jackson is noted as the reference (Daily Mirror).

May he rest in eternal peace.  I was too sad yesterday while watching his farewell ceremony.  I like his songs and his perfect entertainment.  I will be missing him.

What ever findings sa iyang namatyan, I guess it could
possibly be another case just like Ann Nicole Smith,
   drugs!
I just read an article today nga gimention ang different
prescription drugs iyang gitake 2 ang antidepressant
plus 4 narcotic meds and more..

Ang iyang race as  the world know, is black, he was born black
until he had it changed into white.
I read in a magazine way back, I wish I had keep it for
reference, in which  how he undergo into a very
extensive treatment of quinone? this is an extract from a tree
abundantly found in south America, so his skin will turn
  to white.

Some mentioned that he had  vitiligo, this kind of skin
disease does not make your whole body turned to white overnight.
He was so cute as  a child,  the real and genuine little boy
as the Lord had created him to be physically with a gifted
   voice.
