Mayor Dan Lim is now on his 54th day of confinement at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Makati Medical Center after doctors diagnosed him to have a congestive heart failure last Wednesday.

In his weekly radio program yesterday, Mayor Lim denied reports that he suffered a stroke as circulated by his critics whom he said should not take "the sole role of the Almighty to know when his life will end." The denial of the mayor likewise ended rumors that he collapsed last Wednesday.

The radio news aired by dyRD Thursday morning broke the news to city residents that the mayor was admitted at the ICU of the Makati Medical Center. The report did not mention that he suffered a stroke. In fact the report said Lim was "under stable condition as of Wednesday night."

The paid hack of city hall immediately denied the report that Lim was admitted to the ICU and down played the report saying that the mayor was at the Makati Medical Center just for an executive checkup.

The denial that Lim was not admitted at the ICU ended yesterday morning after the mayor himself during his radio program yesterday over dyTR confirmed that indeed he was at the ICU of the Makati Med as he was talking through his mobile phone assuring city residents that he was just fine but undergoing some medical checkup in order to be physically fit as he envisions pursuing further his political carrier.

Mayor Lim said, during his radio phone-patch interview yesterday updated his supporters on his medical condition. He said that he is suffering from swollen feet which has become blueish while saying that doctors found so much water in his lungs. However, he stressed that his heart remains strong.

In his two-hour radio program yesterday, the mayor spoke for 15 minutes only through his mobile phone while Acting Mayor Jaz Montes took over the seat on board the city hall paid radio program yesterday morning.

He did not mention on possible date on when he will check out from the hospital but confirmed that he is on leave as city mayor.
