World's Friendliest Countries-According to Expats
« on: February 23, 2010, 05:25:21 AM »
These nations are the most hospitable to expatriates, according to a new report.

1 Bahrain
2 Canada
3 Australia
4 Thailand
5 Malaysia
6 South Africa
7 Hong Kong
8 Singapore
9 Spain
10 United States

The Expat Explorer survey was commissioned by HSBC Bank International and conducted by the research company FreshMinds. More than 3,100 expatriates were surveyed between February and April 2009.The respondents were asked to rate 23 factors related to their quality of life, including food, entertainment, transportation, health care, finances, education and their ability to make friends. Each criterion is equally weighted to arrive at a score. The overall ranking is based on the average score for a country across the criteria. Eight measures were also selected to comprise the integration score: organizing school for my children; organizing my finances; organizing my health care; finding somewhere to live; making friends; making local friends; setting up utilities; and joining local community groups. The integration score was used to determine the friendliest countries.

On second thought, sakto tingali diay. The US is hospitable to those whom they take in after subjecting them to humiliation at the immigration gates.

Tinuod bitaw na, Raqz. Very strong diha ang immigrant ethic, which I look up to. I have all sorts of friends there (all colors, shapes and textures, he he). My father was a true-blue Amboy, but I've been around too much to be fixated with the American dream. But really, America is still THE place flowing with bread and honey (the bread I don't remember much, but the honey, well, all too well...)

One big turn off to foreigners is when a country's law system does not give a care about whether or not an outsider visiting the country has been a victim of crime.

Here all you do is blotter what happens and end of story and end of your valuables.

Compare it to states for example or Canada these two countries will do their best to actually and actively try to seek who was anyone's perpetrator.

If you want that your alleged perpetrator be punished you have to spend your own money to fight him in a casio before he is punished for what he is guilty of.

Foreigners want a sense in knowing that they will be treated in the right way if visiting in a foreign country. It is how safety by the law is handled in many countries.

This past three years there have been so many warden alerts coming to my Email warning me on places in the Philippines to avoid as Foreigners are the main target.

Most of what is herd in the press in other countries are the bad things and some people do not want anything to do with a place that had ties to terrorism groups internationally such as Al quida.

Also I know several American men were disgruntled when they had served time helping the Philippine country they said they would not come back here as they had observed the Philippine people burning the American Flag after giving assistance here.

As i can remember those "burning flag days"  was over, that was then. (Chico days ;D )

Havent you noticed that it didnt only happen in the Philippines lately?

There are more countries burning the "star and stripes" but why the FOREIGNERs, sp the Americans still come back? and even stayed?

eg. Iraq and Afganistan where the root of terrorism came from? did you get what i want to say?
