I cried at work when I found out about this shooting. I had just arrived at work when Dr. Maria, my boss, told me about the shooting. The entire day was depressing for me because I thought of them ..and the reaction of their family. How can a person decide to take the lives of young innocent babies during this festive season? The whole day yesterday i could not stop thinking of the families and the kids. Seeing the pictures of these little ones hurts me and pains me knowing the lives that were stolen. I pray that the Good Lord give strength and comfort to their family members and friends who are grieving now. Dearest Lord, accept the little ones into your Kingdom. In Jesus' Name. We Pray. Amen.

"James was especially thoughtful and considerate, always the first to welcome guests at the backdoor with a hug and his contagious smile," they added. He was outdoorsy and loved doing yard work with his dad, but would be just as happy "to cuddle on the couch at the end of the day with his mom, grabbing his pillow and brown fleece blanket."

Jessica Rekos, 6

Rekos loved horses and was "a creative, beautiful little girl who loved playing with her little brothers, Travis and Shane," her parents, Rich and Krista, said in a statement. After seeing the movie Free Willy, Rekos became fond of doing "research" on orca whales and hoped to one day see a real one. In October, she realized that dream when she took a trip to SeaWorld.

Caroline Previdi, 6

Caroline P. Previdi, 6, was known by some as "Silly Caroline." A neighbor told the AP that Caroline was "always wanting others to smile," and would sit with her son on the bus and try to cheer him up when he got scared. Last year, Previdi emptied out her piggy bank to give her local church money to buy Christmas presents for less fortunate children, according to the Daily Ridge.

Daniel Barden, 7

Daniel’s bus driver, Gary Wheeler, recalled Daniel’s smile, which was “as big as the sky,” except for where his front teeth were missing.

Wheeler spoke to Daniel’s endless energy, “sometimes he just had to run.” Daniel is now playing on the playground in heaven with 19 other angels.

Daniel had a lot of love to give and Wheeler was a recipient of that love. Every time the boy saw him he would give him a big bear hug, or try to. The bus driver referenced his broad torso and laughed, but was quickly moved to tears when he spoke directly to the family.

“Thank you, Barden family,” he said as his voice cracked. “Thank you for Daniel.”

May the Good Lord welcome all of them into His Kingdom in Heaven.

Jesse Lewis, 6

State troopers said the positioning of Jesse’s body was consistent with him running into the gun fire â€" not away. And that he likely helped other kids try to escape.

“With Jesse, I have absolutely no regrets,” she told People. ”I loved him to pieces, and he knew it, and I knew he loved me to pieces. That is a blessing. Jesse was a gift.”
