PCG ACTIVATES TWO STATIONS IN MISAMIS ORIENTAL
Press Release: To establish an effective command and control, strengthen visibility, and improve response time during calamities, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has officially activated two stations in Misamis Oriental today, 23 March 2021.
In a low-key ceremony held at Barangay Poblacion, Talisayan, Misamis Oriental, the Coast Guard Station (CGS) Misamis Oriental under the Coast Guard District Northern Mindanao (CGDNM) has been divided into two stations — CGS Western Misamis Oriental and CGS Northeastern Misamis Oriental — to efficiently cover the first and second congressional districts of the province.
Captain Anuar Inidal has been designated as the Station Commander of the CGS Western Misamis Oriental, while Lieutenant Commander Patrick John Cabasag is now the Station Commander of the CGS Northeastern Misamis Oriental.
Aside from CGDNM Commander, Commodore Agapito Bibat who presided the ceremony, Congressman Christian Unabia of the First District of Misamis Oriental and Talisayan Mayor Rommel Maslog also graced the event.
Health and safety protocols were strictly observed during the activity.
