China's economic recovery is gaining momentum
By Ambassador Huang Xilian
China's GDP growth is set for an optimistic record high for the first quarter of the year. China's National Bureau of Statistics forecasts that the country's GDP growth may reach between 15 and 20 percent on a yearly basis. The expected growth is set to be the highest quarterly growth for China since 1993's record of 15.3 percent. Kang Yong, the chief economist at KPMG China, said he expects China's first-quarter GDP growth to stand at 19.5 percent yearly, up from 6.5 percent in the last quarter of 2020.
After the struggles from the previous year, it is motivating to hear that China's economy is gaining traction once again and is steadily recovering. China's economic recovery will also surely lead to other countries' economic growth. With good numbers from industrial production, exports, and domestic consumption, I hope the economy continues its long-term resiliency and motivates other economic sectors and countries alike to continue their rising trajectory!
