MALASAKIT HELP DESK STATUS REPORT: A total of 58 (LSIs) manifested passengers arrived at the Cagayan de Oro Port and were assisted by the MARINA Regional Office 10 in coordination with the CDO Port Humanitarian Task Force. The passengers were on board the vessel MV “Trans Asia 19” which arrived at 06:05 am today, 23 March 2021 coming from Tagbilaran, Bohol.
Passengers were medically profiled and assisted to the holding area, where they will be accommodated by service vehicles provided by their LGUs.
Staff and personnel of the Inter-Agency Task Force who were present to assist passengers made sure to adhere to the standard health and safety protocols to prevent the transmission of COVID-19.
The CDO Port Humanitarian Task Force is composed of the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA), Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Department of Health (DOH), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Tourism (DOT), Office of Civil Defense (OCD), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Philippine National Police (PNP), LGUs, and the maritime police and shipping companies.
