Press Release -As part of the Bureau of Customs - Port of Subic’s efforts to make change aligned with Bureau’s Performance Governance System (PGS) while intensifying its Border Protection, another breakthrough result was achieved by the Port through the Multi Sector Advisory Council (MSAC) coordination meeting.
Through the initiative of District Collector Maritess T. Martin and close collaboration with the Subic Bay International Terminal Corp., the BOC- Port of Subic was granted access to the SBITC’s Terminal Operating System (TOS) to be able to personally trigger the stoppage of release from NCT of any shipment/s with BOC alert/ hold orders.
As the BOC-Port of Subic and SBITC unite to timely and effectively execute their duties to protect the border from entry of unlawful, prohibited and antisocial goods, above-mentioned access shall definitely result to a more efficient security and will give the organizations an effective way to scrutinize incoming entries.
