A Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) councilor in Guindulman town was found lifeless in an apparent suicide.
The victim was identified as Brian Golosinda, 18, an SK councilman of Barangay Casbu, Guindulman town.
Golosinda’s lifeless body was discovered hanging with a rope on his neck about 6 pm last Dec. 8.
The victim’s body was found by his own father inside their home at dusk Monday.
Investigators learned that before the incident, the victim figured in a motorcycle accident.
As a result of the mishap, the victim sustained injuries in various parts of his body.
It was gathered that the victim’s father had warned him not to go driving with his friends.
The victim, however, disregarded his father’s warning and went ahead that resulted in the road mishap.
Investigators believe that the suicide was a result of the victim’s fear of the consequences of his disobedience.
A post-mortem examination conducted on the body of the victim revealed that there was no foul play.
The examination conducted by Dr. Elith Salada, municipal health officer, showed that the victim’s death resulted from the suicide.
