Westboro Baptist Church to picket 9 year old's funeral because she was Catholic

In a truly disgusting turn of events, the Westboro Baptist Church headed by maniac Fred Phelps will be picketing the funeral of the 9 year old AZ shooting victim Christina Green.

Westboro Baptist Church, founded by its spiritual leader, Fred Phelps, and run mostly by family members, did not respond to a request for an interview in time for this article. But a flier released by the church about the picket targets the Roman Catholic Church because Christina and her family were members.

 "God hates Catholics!" the flier, posted on the church's "God Hates (word that will be deleted by site filter)" website, says. "God calls your religion 'vain,' as it's empty of His truth; you worship idols!"

They also have their other usual crazy reasons and are thanking God for the shooter.

goodness gracious!  if he's so secure with his westboro baptist church, why should he be insecure with the catholic church?

It is disgusting for a supposed 'church' to spread such hatred. This church, isles, is also infamous for picketting the funerals of American soldiers killed in Iraq, Afghanistan. It is a church of hatred, imho.

May God have mercy on their souls...

The wbc also pickets the funerals of the lgbt (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) community. Now, the Church teaches that homosexual acts are "intrinsically disordered" and "contrary to natural law", however, to picket their funerals etc is beyond forgiveness.

For me, it is unbelievable that a 'baptist church' can be so full of hate. that relishes on the sufferings of others. especially on this week's Arizona shooting that has hurt and pained our country so.

May God turn their hearts....

this looks like a church that's in need of attention, by whatever means.  glad you still hope for the best for them.

yes, this truly is a tragedy of national proportions for the u.s.  and a nine-year-old had to die... i am shaken.  she's only a month older than my own daughter!

yes, this truly is a tragedy of national proportions for the u.s.  and a nine-year-old had to die... i am shaken.  she's only a month older than my own daughter! 

they are a fringe group; more cultist than mainstream christian ideology. indeed, it is a shame that there are those who would take advantage of a national tragedy , as in the Arizona Shootings, and use it for political, or in this case, religious attention.

i pray for them.
