A young woman from Tagbilaran City has accused a companion of raping her in Antequera town last April 1.
The 21-year-old girl who is a native of Taloto district in Tagbilaran reported the incident to the Antequera PNP on Sept. 14.
According to the girl’s account, she was picked up by three young males about 2 pm last Sept. 1.
She was able to identify the three only by their first names namely Allan, Ryan and Jimmy.
The victim did not mention if the three were casual acquaintances or long-time friends.
She narrated that the three brought her to a videoke bar in front of a nautical school in Taloto.
The victim added that they drank a bottle of beer at the bar but did not say how long they stayed there.
From the videoke bar, she said the group went to Plaza Rizal where they passed the time.
The group then decided to proceed to Antequera riding a motorcycle but passed by a friend in Taloto.
They stopped in Manga where the three youths continued drinking and proceeded to Antequera when it was already night time.
The group went to an abandoned house but the one named Allan asked the victim to go with him to a hut near it.
When they were alone, the victim said Allan proceeded to rape her.
She claimed that after he was through, Allan warned her not to report the incident to anybody.
On the morning of the following day, the victim said she was brought back to Taloto.
A medical certificate obtained by the victim dated Sept. 10 revealed that she was found positive of abuse.
The certificate was signed by Dr. Nonaluz Pizarras, women and children protection unit in-charge of the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital. - Sunday Post
