By Angeline ValenciaThe Bohol Poverty Reduction and Management Office (BPRMO) intends to explore global market for the produce of its farmer-beneficiaries by starting it out with international food industry professionals at the upcoming SIAL 2008.
BPRMO Head Antonieto Pernia will be meeting international traders in the peanut industry during the upcoming SIAL 2008, the North American Food Marketplace and "the world's leading food industry show" in Montreal, Canada.
As SIAL 2008 organizers claim, the event expects over 140,000 visitors and 5,300 exhibitors that will gather together in one event, the food industry professionals in the world- -food manufacturers, distributors, importers, retailers and wholesalers, institutional and commercial catering.
Pernia said he would be bringing samples of processed peanut products and exotic foods from Bohol that he would show to international processed food traders during the event.
