Hi HC,
Personally, I think this beauty pageant, like most beauty pageants, should espouse a charitable or a worthy social cause that the winner should devote her time to during her reign.
Loida expressed frustration not only about not having availed herself of the promised free trip to the US but also about not having anything worthwhile to do during her reign. While she may partly be faulted for the first complaint (as some of our ladies here have also honestly pointed out), the second complaint is something that TBTK is wholly responsible for. Wa ba sila'y committee ani? Akong nadunggan sa asoy mura ra man to sila gadali-dali panguli inigkahuman sa event.
Beauty pageants should bring out the lovely, not the ugly traits, in all of us. It's better to rein in the discussion to the issues, not to the persons.
I have answer for that Ben, tungod kay wala kahibaw ang nationa media. It's only Inquirer who wrote story about TBTK. And the Philippine Star.
Look, if TV networks covered TBTK"s activities? No, because the activities aren;t worth. Icover lang ang STreetdancing mao rana.
Pero Loida is already part of Bohol's beauty pageant story. She's really that honest.
