Obama is your hero. Whatever I said against him during the last election you turned around. I have been campaigning against him as far as I can remember. The future I have foreseen is coming true.

The revelations about the extent of government surveillance continue to come. The former Chief of Security at Facebook (who's supposed to be responsible for protecting your privacy) now works for the NSA, and Skype apparently assembled a top secret internal team to work specifically on giving our information to law enforcement. There's still so much we don't know about what the government is collecting on all of us.

The individual responsible for one of the most significant leaks in US political history is Edward Snowden, a 29-year-old former technical assistant for the CIA and current employee of the defence contractor Booz Allen Hamilton. Snowden has been working at the National Security Agency for the last four years as an employee of various outside contractors, including Booz Allen and Dell.

The Guardian, after several days of interviews, is revealing his identity at his request. From the moment he decided to disclose numerous top-secret documents to the public, he was determined not to opt for the protection of anonymity. "I have no intention of hiding who I am because I know I have done nothing wrong," he said.

Snowden will go down in history as one of America's most consequential whistleblowers, alongside Daniel Ellsberg and Bradley Manning. He is responsible for handing over material from one of the world's most secretive organisations â€“ the NSA.

In a note accompanying the first set of documents he provided, he wrote: "I understand that I will be made to suffer for my actions," but "I will be satisfied if the federation of secret law, unequal pardon and irresistible executive powers that rule the world that I love are revealed even for an instant."

Despite his determination to be publicly unveiled, he repeatedly insisted that he wants to avoid the media spotlight. "I don't want public attention because I don't want the story to be about me. I want it to be about what the US government is doing."

He does not fear the consequences of going public, he said, only that doing so will distract attention from the issues raised by his disclosures. "I know the media likes to personalise political debates, and I know the government will demonise me."

Despite these fears, he remained hopeful his outing will not divert attention from the substance of his disclosures. "I really want the focus to be on these documents and the debate which I hope this will trigger among citizens around the globe about what kind of world we want to live in." He added: "My sole motive is to inform the public as to that which is done in their name and that which is done against them."

He has had "a very comfortable life" that included a salary of roughly $200,000, a girlfriend with whom he shared a home in Hawaii, a stable career, and a family he loves. "I'm willing to sacrifice all of that because I can't in good conscience allow the US government to destroy privacy, internet freedom and basic liberties for people around the world with this massive surveillance machine they're secretly building."

A name you've probably never heard is making devices better than you may think

The name "OPPO" probably doesn't come to mind when thinking of which phone to buy next, but the Chinese manufacturer is working hard to try and change that. Best known for making high quality Blu-Ray players and various other consumer electronics, the company has only dabbled in phones previously. But with an aggressive strategy of building high-end devices and selling direct to customers with some impressive prices, the components are all there to make at least a little splash in the market. The Find 5 is OPPO's latest attempt at a device that on paper has all of the line items to make a great phone.

But making smart phones is a difficult business to get into, and selling high-end unlocked handsets is the toughest area to aim for. Does OPPO have what it takes to branch out from making other consumer electronics and take a meaningful foothold with consumers? It certainly has some things going for it.

we live in a changing world where everything is in chaos. to protect myself, i have to get all the information that i can. this is the way of the rich. a long time ago i got a satellite dish to track news from all around the world. i still have it because i am a keeper. you have seen pictures of my old VHS tapes. i have a whole warehouse.

we now live in a world of computers. the world cannot run without them. the smart phone in your hands hold more power than the 1st computer which was as large as the room where it was put in.

in my cottage in florida, the 1st house i bought when i left new york, i say cottage because i own so many houses now, are 3 satellite dishes. one is my old satellite dish which i keep for the memories. the 2nd one
is for directTV hi def. the 3rd connects to bloomberg terminals which, as of the latest count is more than 320,000.

just imagine the power of 320,000 computers which i can access. bloomberg can track a cargo ship or any other ship in the vast oceans of the world. tracking a permanent non moving location in the philippines is child's play. .

MAINLY DUE TO THEIR NON-CHRISTIAN ATTITUDES AND POLICIES.

TARGET STORES HEAD OFFICE IS IN FRANCE. THE OFFICE IS NOW
MUSLIM CONTROLLED, WHICH EXPLAINS THE NON-CHRISTIAN
ATTITUDE. WE SUPPORT CANADIAN TIRE, HOME HARDWARE, ETC.
THOSE WHICH ARE CANADIAN OWNED AND OPERATED.

Target Stores What a surprise!
Wasn't it last Christmas that Target refused to let the
Salvation Army ring their bells in front of their stores?

Dick Forrey of the Vietnam Veterans Association wrote:
Recently we asked the local TARGET store to be a proud
sponsor of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial all during our
Spring recognition event. Remember, there are also
Canadians occupying space on these walls.

We received the following reply from the local TARGET management:
"Veterans do not meet our Area of giving. We only donate to the
arts, social action groups, gay & lesbian causes, and education."
So I'm thinking, if the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, and Veterans
in general, do not meet their donation criteria, then something is really
wrong at this TARGET store. We were not asking for thousands of dollars,
not even hundreds, just a small sponsorship for a memorial remembrance.
As a follow-up, I e-mailed the TARGET U.S. Corporate Headquarters and
their response was the same...That's their National policy!!!

Then I looked into the company further. They will not allow the Marines to collect
for 'Toys for Tots' at any of their Stores. And during the recent Iraq deployment,
they would not allow families of employees who were called up for Active duty to
continue their insurance coverage while they were on military service..
Now, I'm thinking again.. If TARGET cannot support American (or Canadian)
Veterans, then why should my family and I support their stores by spending
our hard earned American or Canadian dollars in their stores??? and, have
their profits sent to France to Support Muslim Organizations.
