For starters.
Post speed in designate areas, school and church areas in town down should be 20-25 mph.
National highway in Bohol 50-55mph due to passing vehicles.
A national or state drinking intolerance should be in affect.
.08% drinking intolerance or over one night in jail if caught, second offense, license taken away and vehicle impounded. third offense.... and so on even treatment and jail time...
Issue tickets to those who are operating vehicles with-out liability insurance and they should make it mandatory to have this insurance of PIP so that if and when they do have an accident the innocent driver or passengers hurt or killed from the other vehicle at fault will be able to cover the cost of the medical and hospital and funeral expenses.
If you cannot afford to maintain the headlights or back lights, license tabs, or pay for insurance then you should be considered as a financial driving risk to others.Sad to say if your to poor to maintain your safety equipment than you are to poor to drive period end of story as even more so your you would not even be able to pay if you hurt, injured or killed someone.
And most days those who do have accidents when appealing for financial help on the radio no one will donate any assistance from their pockets....
Driving is considered a luxury to those who can afford it and can afford to pay for any accident/death that they have caused.
I love the laws that are strictly implemented where I am originally from. I do not feel like that when I drive that I am taking a daily gamble from all the bad habits from the drivers here in Philippines. A big percentage here drive like they do not care about other persons lives.
And many are not following the laws of emission testing I go through a bottle of facial cleaner weekly just to get the black exhaust off from my face and body.
No wonder why so many here have complications with breathing and lung cancer.
People here just do not care about helping keep the other lives safe and healthy here when it comes to operating and owning a vehicle.....
Drive with courtesy drive with care and pay attention to others drivers around you.
Yes' I agree that Philippines is old fashioned in some senses but they are also ahead of times in other departments of life.
Being old fashioned is no excuse for stupidity of others.
I hope that Alturas Co. is very helpful in the burying of this family and helping any of the dependent relatives move on financially in life.
I hope the driver of the truck was given an alcohol sobriety test to determine if the driver assumed at fault was intoxicated at the time?
That is another problem here there are no sobriety level test taken here to determine the toxicology results of how much one was drunk.
