7 Bohol schools filed petition to increase tuition fees.Parents will have to tighten their belts a little more.
More colleges and universities have applied for an increase in tuition with the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) after the deadline of submission of application ended last month.
The application did not state the amount of increase but the adjustment is usually three percent to five percent, said Dr. Candelario Aytona, CHEd director for Central Visayas.
In Bohol alone, there were seven schools who filed such petition. The seven Bohol schools are Blessed Trinity College in Talibon, Bohol Northern Star College in Ubay, Cristal E-College, Holy Name University and Mater Dei College in Tubigon and STI (Systems Technology Institute) and University of Bohol in Tagbilaran City.
