A total of six burglaries were recorded by the Tagbilaran City PNP last week.

More than P300,000 worth of cellular phones and ready-to-wear (RTW) clothings were carted away by unidentified robbers who ransacked PJ Star Enterprises at the Ambassador Arcade along B. Inting Street last Monday.

Police said the burglars gained entry through the establishment's roof by cutting its galvanized iron roofing.

A total of 94 cellular phones and RTWs were stolen from the store.

The firm's security guard, stationed outside the store, knew about the robbery when store employees reported for work the following morning.

Last Wednesday, at around 4:45 a.m., the residence of Dr. Henya Sotelo in Caingget Drive, barangay Booy, this city was intruded by a lone robber who forcibly entered the house through a wooden door.

The suspect took off with 1 diamond ring, 1 diamond earring, 1 white gold ring, 2 gold bungles, 2 Chinese gold necklaces, 1 unit Nokia cellphone and 1 unit DVD player.

Last January 8, around 8 a.m., robbers broke into the law office of lawyer Antonio Amora Jr., Save n' Earn and Nuga Best.

The suspects reportedly gained entry through the roof of the two adjacent buildings where the three establishments are located.

Taken from Amora's law office was a laptop computer worth P40,000. Several land titles owned by the lawyer's clients were allegedly torn into pieces by the suspects.

At the adjacent building where Nuga Best and Save n' Earn were housed, the robbers took off with another laptop computer valued at P45,000, a video camera worth P50,000, cash amounting to P3,100.

Police have yet to identify the suspects of the series of shootings and robberies.

It's hard to wait for something you know might not happen, but it's harder to give up when you know it's everything you wanted.

This is quite alarming.

Atty. Jun Amora is the former provincial capitol administrator, son-in-law of the owner of the Bohol Chronicle newspaper and dyRD radio station.

I know the owner of PJ Star Enterprises, a couple who are from Bacolod.

If you have houses in Tagbilaran and in any Bohol towns, please implement security measures.

Let us pray for our families back home.

Four shootings in one week and six burglaries in one week in Tagbilaran. This is horrible.

You can never really live anyone else's life, not even your child's.
The influence you exert is through your own life, and what you've
      become yourself.

Mao ni giinggon.....nga duna gani humay nga ibulad tok-tokon gjod sa mga manok nga gigutom.  I feel sorry for this,  but
you can really see the big differences now in our City. Kinsa tong galisod na kaajo kay way trabaho, gigutom di ipina-agi na lang niini.
You can't not be safe anywhere not only in our own Bohol.

So far, at first I really thought that it is already very dangerous to visit home as we previously discussed here about recent crimes but I founded there no danger at all.  You must have only to be extra careful.

I miss Bohol  :'(

last night I had the privilege to do research work for on of my media colleagues Jerry Pabe on Tagbilaran by night show.
We had a fun time. His show was really busy tonight with another issue of another passed away foreigner that I had attended a meeting on regarding how to dispose of a two month cadaver at the coop meeting held with the board members of the diocese of Tagbilaran.
Tonight during our normal topic many texter's and police reports coming in about several hold ups tonight.
One hold up was a student from PMI college.
One bag containing expensive diving apparatus's was snatched from a foreigner living in Tagbilaran city yesterday his name is Bennie Ressenfield 36 years of age,
Staying in Panglao.
The bag was found and recovered by a very honest Boholanon name who's name is Rey C. Sosmena.
The bags contents contained 3 mouth apparatuses, two compression valves, with all their hoses attachedhoses, along with one compression gauge.
There it should go to show that we stillhave great people out there who care and who are honest even in this hard of times.
