𝗕𝗢𝗖 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝟰𝟬𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗱𝗼𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗰 𝗩𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀
Bureau of Customs, through the Port of NAIA, facilitated the immediate clearance and release of 400,000 doses of Sinovac vaccines donated by China, which arrived in Terminal 2 via Flight No. PR 361 on March 24, 2021.
This is the second batch of the Sinovac vaccine donations from China. The first 600,000 doses of vaccine arrived last February 28, 2021, which was witnessed by no less than His Excellency, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
In the arrival of second batch of Sinovac , DOH Secretary Francisco Duque III, Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines, Huang Xilian, Testing Czar Vince Dizon and Senate Committee on Health Chairperson, Senator Bong Go, witnessed the arrival of the said vaccines .
Bureau of Customs Commissioner Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero assured the public that the BOC will continue to expedite the processing, clearance and release of Covid-19 vaccines and related shipments amid the rapid surge of infections in the country.
District Collector Carmelita M. Talusan said that BOC NAIA will further strengthen collaborations with other agencies – Department of Health (DOH) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to ensure that only safe and registered Covid-19 related goods will be cleared and process to protect the public.
