The shootings left police with no clue as a series of burglaries occurred which victimized three business establishments, a law office and the residence of a doctor.
Thursday night, suspected rebel leader Ronald Sendrijas was gunned down while buying medicines in a pharmacy along Gallares Street fronting Ramiro Hospital, this city.
Two 9-millimeter rounds to the head killed Sendrijas on the spot. The motor-riding suspects fled the crime scene leaving police investigators with only two empty shells of the 9 mm rounds that hit the former rebel leader.
Last Wednesday, at around 3:30 p.m., another motor-riding assailant armed with a pistol of unknown caliber shot one Hermilo Hornido, 64, a resident of VP Inting Street, this city.
Hornido, who was hit on the right foot, told police that he did not know his attacker.
Shortly before midnight last Thursday, one Dario Badiang Jr., a resident of Poblacion, Corella town was shot at his right arm in barangay San Isidro, this city.
The victim claimed his assailant was one Antonio Go, who resides in barangay San Isidro, this city.
Another victim of a shooting incident is Dominic Manigque, 21, a resident of Rizal Street, Sacred Heart Village, this city.
Manigque was shot near the National Food Authority (NFA) office in barangay Mansasa last Saturday.
According to police, two unidentified suspects riding in tandem aboard a motorcycle drove by Manigque and shot him on the right forearm.
