ALA Promotions president Michael Aldeguer has divulged plans for Boholano prospect Rey "Boom-Boom" Bautista and another promising fighter.
The 24-year-old Adopted Son of Tagbilaran City closed the chapter on his rivalry with Mexican Alejandro Barrera last weekend with a third round knockout in the main event of "Pinoy Pride - The Rematch at the Waterfront with the Candijay, Bohol native winning via a fourth round TKO after Barrera suffered a nasty cut.
Aldeguer said Bautista will be gunning for a regional title in one of the upcoming episodes of the "Pinoy Pride" boxing series.
"We will bring him back slowly. He proved that he has overcome his biggest test. We will let him fight for the vacant IBF (International Boxing Federation) International title,' said Aldeguer.
Meanwhile, because of Jason Pagara's impressive performance in his bout against Indonesian Billy in the undercard, ALA Promotions will be taking their ward's career a notch higher.
Aldeguer decide to give Pagara a chance to hone his skills in the US.
"We want him to be exposed to training in the States. Pagara won by a devastating KO win.
However, Aldeguer said that Pagara won't be fighting in the US just yet because they believe he isn't ready for that yet.
"He is still 19 years old. We want to ease him slowly," added Aldeguer.
