Ate Aleth, you know i cried after reading the book you sent me? It sits on my shelf next to Tuesday's with Morrie.

I would love to borrow it, but I would want you to borrow a book that I love. I think you would like it; its entitled "Death of Artemio Cruz"

Its one of my top 10 favorites.

oh it was a great book, 'te.

It's entitled Herman, written by Lars Saabye Christensen.

Ang synopsis ani is that an eleven year old boy named Herman starts to notice girls and in turn, be noticed by them. He's in a predicament in that he starts to loose hair; as in all of it. Alot of imagination, hilarious jokes, but i couldn't help but cry for his hair. LOL

This book teaches about friendship an most of all, acceptance and love!

The Body Snatchers, authored by Jack Finney.

Quite erie, rivetting, and most of all based on a true story.
Set in early 19th century during the age of Science and Anatomical Explosion.
Grave diggers murdered people, dug up the deceased in order to sell the carcasses to medical institutions for anatomical dissection; for teaching purposes.

Based on the true story of Burke and Hare.

A must read for the medical reader. Or for the intense-action genre lovers.

I highly recommend 'The Grapes of Wrath'.

Why? It will paint a beautiful view of human aspiration. And the need to conquer all limitations, fears, economic disparity. Most of all, it reassures the reader that Hope is needed in life. Hope leads to one's overcoming of all fears, all walls and limitations.

This book was a personal favorite during my high school days.

"OH GOD ARE YOU THERE IT IS ME MARGERAT"

This book I highly recommend to young girls just about to go into puberty.

The book will enlighten you through the puberty stage and you will not feel alone with reading about Margerats first time to get her menstruation and body changes while at that stage in life as far as being a woman.

My books are nearly 1,000 - personal collection. They're kept in Dampas at the house that I rented before. I couldn't transport them to Thailand. Now I have hundreds of ebooks. Smiley

I have been intending to read Stephen Covey's book but I was always sidetracked by other pursuits. Management consultants would always recommend this book.

Um? I could use some of those books to enlighten me Mike. Are those the books you were going to give to me before? I love books they are great for character building.

Now I am reading about Trans formative Communication. It is very positive!

Another book that I highly recommend is one for the science fiction lovers.

The book is called 'Contact Harvest' written by Joseph Staten.

The book provides the preliminary information for the Halo Series , which is based on the popular video game. The book talks about the Human wars for colonization in the Harvest System and there it makes contact with the Covenant Empire.

Starting the long-fought Human-Covenant Galactic War.

Amazing book. A must read for the sci-fi fanatics.

 The Rape Of Nanking
(An undeniable history in photograps)
by: Shi Young
      James Yin
Edited by Ron Dorfman
Foreword by Desmond M. Tutu
why? to remind the world of the forgotten holocaust of WWII, and to honor history and answer any attempt to deny or change it.

Aira,

I read that book 2 years ago. A really great read, I admit.

It is not meant for the faint of heart, I submit to that. But it really is a good book, as you said, to remind us of the crimes committed by the Japanese in World War II.

It illustrates the savagery that Man-Kind can inflict on himself.

I recommend to any medical student, "Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary"

I can't stress enough the importance of this book.
In the classroom--its essential
In the hospital floor--its essential (maybe the smaller pocket carry-on version, LOL)

So get it.

So one of my best reads is Stephen R. Covey's The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
Naa ra ba'y quotation ang author, si Covey, dinhi sa libro gikan ni Aristotle that TB tambays should ponder:

We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.
                                                         -- Aristotle

I also have this book. This was given to us by the president of our company during one of our team building seminar in Tagaytay about ten years back. Nagkamoritsing na intawon ang mga pages sa pagbinali balik kog basa kay nindot man jod ni for people who want to excell in their fields. I like the 'Circle of Influence' to ones life, a way on how to focus your interest for something you wanted to achieve in your endeavor. I like the style of his writing when he dared to explore in layman's point of view on the proper use of our brain in the 'Brain Dominance Theory'. This is highly recommended.

Other books I like to read, were all written by Robert Lodlum; Silver Matlock, Farcical Mosaic, etc.
Classic but still burning with lessons in life aside from the Bible is written by Dale Carnegie, "How to Win friends and Influence people." This is also highly recommended.

Books written by Filipino authors: "Several Springs, One Stream" by Valentino Sitoy Jr.; "Not by Power Alone", by Jovito Salonga Jr.

Digital Fortress, a techno-thriller book. I'm fascinated with the code breaking techniques. It's an excellent read.
