John Grisham's latest Book

This is just a thought for those who are a huge fan of John Grisham, you might like to watch his interview by Charlie Rose about his new book "The Appeal". He's a very likable man.

Thanks, Beth!  I am a fan of John Grisham's books.  I can't even tell which one is my most favorite but you know, after I read his books, I just let go of them unlike the books of Coelho where I really kept them, except of course for those books that i borrowed from the library.  Anyway, of all Grisham's books, I think the book, A Painted House is quite a non-Grisham book!  Lacking was the court settings and all.

You're welcome Grace.
I haven't really read a lot of his book but watch the movie instead like "The Pelican Brief", "The Firm" and many others. Some I read like "Playing with Pizza" that was written a lot of it's location Italy, the other one "The Broker" was also good same thing, some of the locations happened in Italy (can you tell I love Italy hehehe). Enjoyed it a lot while reading, I felt like I was there too with the character seeing the beauty and eating delicious italian cuisine.

Then there's this "The Innocent Man" that I kept wanting to borrow from the library but every time I go there, it's always out. I may try again and maybe let them hold it for me. I want to read it, 'coz my friend told me it's really good.

Anyway, I'll take a look at that book "A Painted House" and see if I can borrow that too. Then I let you what I think.

I'm a John Grisham fan too. I already read several of his novels. The latest reading was "The King of Torts". It was really a good novel.

In his latest interview, he said he didn't like writing non-fiction because it entails a lot of research for accuracy but when he does, it is good!  How's the book so far, Beth?

I'm ok with DVD for now from our Netflix. What I wanted to try to borrow next time is the tape version. Maybe it's faster to listen to this tapes than reading hehehe.
I'll take a look kung naa ba ni among local library aning mga talagang movies (magkatawa uroy ko nimo aning slang word nga talagang instead of tagawg hehehe)

The only non-fiction novels of John Grisham which I haven't read are "The Client" and "The Pelican Brief".

I love the ending of "The Firm" better in the book than the movie version.

For me: The most engrossing was "The Runaway Jury". Greatest page-turner, "The Partner". His work I like least: "The Will" and "The Brethren."

My all-time favorite: "A Painted House".

GEC,  I think the "A Painted House" book of John Grisham is almost like a non-John Grisham book! Most of his books talks about the law and what not but in this particular book, which sounds like a simple book,  talks about the intricacies of the lives of the hillbillies and southern people as a while.
