Christmas Capital in Bohol Island
« on: December 06, 2010, 03:22:26 PM »
Christmas is finally in the air. Tis' the season to be jolly and be merry. These were two of the adjectives that best described the ambiance Tubigon exuded these past few weeks as people were busy lighting their yards and sprucing up their homes. With this atmosphere, not to be outdone was the Tubigon town plaza that joined in the revelry when it is bathe in own lighting effects. This developed as the e municipality thru its executive offices, namely; Tourism, Treasurers and Engineering once again brought spectacle and enchantment to the town plaza's strollers, sightseers , and even potential tourists passing by Tubigon by giving them some teasers on the display of lights.

The three functional offices thru the able supervision of Mayor William R. Jao mounted a simple yet elegant interplay of lights that make up an ambiance that exudes warmth and excitement. The local government of Tubigon is scheduled to hold its annual switch-on ceremony and formal opening on December 4, 2010, 6:00PM at the Holy Cross Academy Open Stage adjacent to the town plaza where people get to participate in the lighting countdown.

Word has it that the town's holiday preparation caught the ears of media people from ABS-CBN Central Visayas. To that effect, ABS-CBN's correspondent Vera Mae Lasam did a feature for the region's local news program, TV Patrol Central Visayas which airs late afternoon every weekday. Lasam got hold of the Tourism Officer Dennis Balbero and Information Officer Raymond Delgado who explained in detail to the media correspondent the upcoming activities the town has in store for its spectators. This is one of Tubigon's concerted effort to promote Tubigon as Bohol's Christmas capital. - Sunday Post

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
