Tagbilaran City sponsors tour guide training
City Mayor John Geesnell "BABA" Yap believes in the promise of the tourism industry in the City. Seeing this potential is not enough, investment in both the physical and human assets needs to be in place. Thus, the 1st Tour Guide Enhancement Training was conducted. Organized by City Tourism Officer, Shobel Ligalig, the training brought together the officers and members of both the BITGAP (Bohol Island Tour Guides Association Philippines) and KABOG (Kahugpongan sa Bol-anong Guides) under one venue. The City Mayor emphasized that tour-guiding is not just an occupation, but a passion and desire to showcase the best of Bohol, thus, as tourism front-liners, it is imperative to undertake an enhancement training to make them more effective.
