RAFI Micro-finance Bohol to hold assembly
To recognize and honor top performing clients, the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI) Micro-finance Bohol will conduct its second General Assembly at Bohol Wisdom School Gymnasium, Tagbilaran City, Bohol on August 18.
The assembly, with the theme “Kakugi, Binhi sa Kaugmaonâ€, is expected to gather more than 1,500 women micro-entrepreneurs from all the municipalities covered by Tagbilaran, Talibon, Tubigon, and Ubay branches.
Through this gathering, RAFI Micro-finance acknowledges the support and loyalty of their clients, especially those who have stayed for five years or more. RAFI Micro-finance also seeks to strengthen its partnership with the nanays towards improving their businesses and financial condition.
The assembly will also be a chance for the clients to learn new livelihood methods and techniques through trainings to be conducted in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture of Bohol.
The program includes a mass, awarding ceremony, talent showcase, and raffle draw.
Four hundred participating nanays and their children can also avail of free medical services, such as consultation and cervical cancer screening, through RAFI’s Eduardo J. Aboitiz Cancer Center (EJACC) with the help of volunteers from Bohol.
Micro-finance is a program under the Micro-finance & Entrepreneurship focus area of RAFI, providing financial resources and know-how to women micro-entrepreneurs to nurture financial independence and entrepreneurship. Other focus areas of RAFI are Integrated Development, Culture & Heritage, Leadership & Citizenship, and Education.
