Medical mission in Dimiao, Bohol

DIMIAO, Bohol - The committee of German Doctors together with their Filipino counterparts, and through the assistance of Provincial Board Member Godofreda Tirol, conducted a Medical Mission-Free Clinic and Medical Check-up and Treatment last January 24 in this municipality.
The group of medical personnel was welcomed by the Municipal Mayor, Atty. Sylvia V. Adame, together with municipal officials and members of the Sangguniang Bayan headed by Vice Mayor Pastor Q. Maguyon and Kagawad Maribel Guieb, SB Chair on health.
The Medical Mission was held at the Dimiao Livelihood Training Center, assisted by the Local Health Manpower headed by Dr. Rosell Jr., with Barangay Health Workers and the Guest-Municipal Health Officers from the neighboring towns of Lila and Valencia.
The Medical Mission disposed free medicines amounting to P10,000 and gave medical treatment to almost 900 patients from the 35 barangays of the municipality.
The Group of Medical Personnel started their charity-service to the patients as early as 7:00 a.m., with a mob of patients who have crowded the Livelihood Center even earlier. Patients kept coming the whole day until all the patients were treated and done at around 11:30 p.m.
Mayor Adame, with her municipal officials and employees stayed on to assist the group and ended the affair with a simple-salo to thank the group for choosing Dimiao as one of the beneficiaries of the said Medical Mission.
For a noble work of service to humanity, the LGU-Dimiao salutes the Medical Mission Group for a job well-done.
