15 barangays in second district for illumination
By Cris Gabuya - Published December 9, 2001 by Bohol Sunday Post

PLANS to spur development all over the second district of Bohol are expected to reach 15 rural barangays identified as beneficiaries of the rural electrification efforts of Rep. Roberto Cajes.

Cajes, Bohol's congressional representative for the second district, has identified different barangays in Dagohoy, Pres. C.P. Garcia, San Miguel, Buenavista, Trinidad and Getafe as beneficiaries of the project to be undertaken through the National Electrification Administration.

A German private company - Mirant, signed a memorandum of agreement with the NEA on November 29 to undertake the rural electrification project.

Cajes, who was present during the signing of the agreement, expressed confidence that the project would mean a bright future for the beneficiary villages - literally and figuratively.

He explained, "rural electrification translates to the enhancement of industrial activities in the villages. No doubt, this would mean faster and more enhanced agricultural production and other socio-economic activities. It also means added safety for the residents as their home and other premises would be illuminated, which, in effect, could help drive away undesirable elements from the community."

The barangays to benefit from this project are: Can-oling, Villa Aurora and Estaca in Dagohoy; Human-humay in Ubay; San Carlos and Magsaysay in Talibon; Campamanog in Pres. C.P. Garcial Garcia in San Miguel; Luubang, Overland, Lusong, Bago and Catigbian in Buenavista; Guinobatan in Trinidad; and Cabasakan in Getafe.

Meanwhile, through Cajes' efforts, 26 elementary schools will benefit from the School Building Program of the Dept. of Education.

The Department of Public Works and Highways, under the supervision of the DE, will construct new classrooms for 26 elementary schools in the 2nd district.

"It is our responsibility to make the learning environment of our students and pupils as conducive as possible. There are still many other schools whose facilities need our utmost attention," Cajes said.

Nevertheless, he assured that other schools in the 2nd district would benefit from the same project as soon as funds are available.

The initial beneficiaries are the following elementary schools: Danao Central and San Carlos in Danao; San Isidro in Sagbayan; Corazon, San Miguel and Bayongan in San Miguel; Balintawak, Rizal and San Isidro in Talibon; Bago in Pres. CPG; Mahanay, Saguise and Jao in Talibon.

The other beneficiaries are the elementary schools of Lubang, Overland and P. Tirol in Buenavistal Handumon and Alumar in Getafe; Catarungan, Sinandigan, Cagting and Bulilis in Ubay; Tagum Sur and Trinidad Central in Trinida; Caluasan in Dagohoy; and San Isidro Central in San Isidro.

Cajes has also identified the Clarin School of Fisheries, Danao, Canmano, Bigang and Lubang High Schools as those that will likewise benefit from the project.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
