A male elected public official has filed a complaint for libel against several women from the town of Anda, Bohol over allegations that his reputation has been allegedly tarnished by Facebook comments.
The complainant, a retired police chief, is Anda town councilor Leonardo A. Deloso, who also hailed to court two other neighbors, who are not women.
Filed at the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor, Deloso’s complaint named the respondents as Hermenigilda Visaya Berongoy, mother of lawyer Ferdinand Visaya Berongoy, a town councilor of Anda, Bohol; Concordia Saranza Escobido (based in Hong Kong); Grace Curiba (based in Saudi Arabia); Roqueliza Ligalig (once an OFW working in Lebanon); Lydia Amora; Rosemarie Amora (based in Manila); Resurrecion Escobia Casiño; Ernieville E. Felisarta; Ma. Victoria Dela Peña; and Mona Lita (an OFW based in Singapore).
The other two respondents are Julito Madera Makinano (based in United Arab Emirates) and Nerio Dela Peña Felicitas (based in the Middle East).
