The province of Bohol under the visionary leadership of Gov. Erico Aumentado has reaped another award.
BOHOL has been adjudged as the 2006 Most Business-Friendly Province in the Visayas.
This is known from the fax message of Atty. Miguel Varela, the honorary chairman of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) and at the same time the chairman of the 32nd Philippine Business Conference Awards Committee.
The awarding ceremony was held during the Gala Night of the Philippine Business Conference last October 19, 2006 with Honorable Vice President Noli de Castro, as the Guest of honor.
Ma. Fe Dominise, the head of Bohol Investment and Promotion Center (BIPC) and some representatives of the Bohol Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCICI) headed by Mr. Norris Oculam graced the said awarding at Metro Manila.
The Most Business Friendly LGU Award is an undertaking of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in cooperation with other key national business organization in the country. This year’s award carries the slogan, “What’s good for the citizenry is good for businessâ€.
The award is accorded to municipalities, cities and provinces that have demonstrated exemplary efforts on the concerns of implementing sound and business friendly daily procedure to promote trade and investment, accountability, transparency and efficiency in daily operations and promoting competitiveness.
