As a frequent reader of Revolutionary History, and one of my favorite has been Filipino Nationalistic Evolution. A man of great importance, in regards to Filipino Transcendentalism would have to be Marcelo H. Del Pilar, who was a Filipino philosopher, writer, Nationalist, Apologist and a colleague of Dr. Jose P. Rizal.

Del Pilar was one of the writers of La Solidaridad. He was born in the Philippines, but lived, worked and died in Spain.

The man lived in the late 19th centurian epoch.

Lorenzo,you sure look like Marcelo H. del Pilar and you are smart person too just like Marcelo Del Pilar.

Del Pilar should be a role model to many of us young Filipino men.

A man who was gifted with bright ambition, and sublime intelligence. With a learned tongue, a smart mind, and gifted with intuition. So much as to surprise, leaving many Spaniards in 'Awe'.

Del Pilar, indeed, is one of the many unsung heroes of the Filipino Nationalistic Movement, who championed the Filipino Cause in the very heart of the Spanish Empire, Madrid Proper.

Del Pilar was said to have had a deep and low voice. Whose tongue was skilled in perfect Castillian Spanish.

I highly recommend young Filipino men to read the journals of Sr. Marcelo Del Pilar. Especialamente those who are studying abroad or living abroad, as one can find inspiration in his own struggles while he was a student in Spain, and conducting the editorial board for La Solidaridad.

A man who was given threats, a man who was looked down by Imperialists, yet one who did not give ground, who responded to his opposition with an eloquent tongue, as to deprive his despondents the priviledge of reducing him to their level.

Rizal may have been a man of passion, but Marcelo Del Pilar, definitely, was the architect of the Intellectual Revolutionistic Machine.

I`ve read some samples of Del Pilar`s journals. I have been reduced to tears.

The man is an inspiration.
