I worked in catching up for Respiratory-based Systemic Pathology. Did alot of lobar pneumonia diagnosis and microbiology analysis. Notes and more notes. It is unbelievable how much we have to read, how much we have to be engrossed in. All in the name of the Glorious Struggles of 2nd Year Medicine.

I am getting ready to leave for Winter Break, so one part of me wants to work harder to finish strong, and another part that wants to go home back to New Jersey and just relax and enjoy time with family.

Already beginning to review and prepare for the USMLE Medical Boards. Have been reviewing on the side for those, aside from my core curriculum studies.

Enjoyed a nice dinner, and a nice cup of coffee.
It is 1:11 am my time.

Silent. I shall probably go into prayer later. Best time to pray is now.

Cheers, my friends, all the best to all of you.

Got to talk to some friends today, oh man, its been a while!

My buds from college are all getting engaged and / or working now.

Wow, where has the time gone?

I feel such an old timer now. Am 24, and still in medical school. lol.

I don't think I'll be married anytime soon. Only when I am done.

Still tho, I cannot help but smile in adoration to see how some of my friends are already married or engaged. Starting a family already~~

One cannot help but daydream sometimes. :)

Sige, na lang.

Today is very memorable for me. I served as tour guide and resource person for Mr. F. Sionil Jose, National Artist for Literature, who visited my hometown's built heritage. He was also interested in knowing about our local literary traditions.

I delivered my presentation on Arterial Gas Embolism yesterday, with much appreciated standing ovation.
And officially turned in my typed up paper to the Medical Collegiate Board. With smile on my face. It is done.
The Lord has justified me and His Victory was witnessed yesterday.

As I stood and delivered my presentation, and seeing 60 some of my medical peers rise from their seats to give me applause, I was filled with unexplainable joy. The Lord is Glorified! I give to Him that victory. :)

Today, Am busy catching up in sleep. Much needed sleep!

Today I sat in my last Tuesday lecture for Systemic Pathology.
We have final exams on Friday and Monday.

After this we graduate basic sciences of the medical curriculum and we are then to begin our clinical rotations on Spring Semester.

I am in deep amazement. How 2 years has passed so quickly...~

I am in the library, working some more. Am working on the classification of pneumonias..writing down these thoughts and sharing it here will help in eternalizing these feelings. I shall look back to these postings years from now~

How beautiful...the struggles of a medical student.

That is for today.

I have 2 xgfs who are in their Graduate Neuroscience Schools, who still keep in contact with me.
Had you told me you were there, you could have met up with them.

Ann Arbor is a nice city, not so busy and dangerous like Detroit.

There are alot of Filipinos in Ann Arbor. :)

I just got back from dropping mahal off her place, after helping her do laundry. Aish..women! hahahaha.
I don't know..why but i become very baby-babyish when i am with her. I get all affectionate and really baby-babyish that it is even too extreme. I used to criticize men who would say to their partner, "hi baby...baby i love you..baby do you need me to carry your books? etc etc" now it is i who am in that predicament. Ha ha ha.

But you know? I don't care. for mahal, anything..~

newayz, so she's home..and now i just got back from grocery shopping. I shall probably cook chicken liver tonight. And finish up some more reviews.

Aish...i feel like a husband doing errands. LOL!

ngekz to the max!

:P

Made a presentation and proposal to shut down one of our non-revenue generating facilities.  It will be shut down after the holidays.  It's a smaller facility and will affect only about 10 people unlike the last one in Nevada which laid-off 35 people. Being a CFO is a heart-breaking role sometimes.

Preparing my Christmas trip to Canada....I can't wait just to get away and hang out with old friends.

Yes we do give a separation package.... a minimum of 2 wks pay plus 1 wk pay for each year employed full time with the company after the 5th year.  It is actuallly very generous compared to several companies. As the CFO of the company, it does break my heart to make recommendations like this but I also have to think about the hundreds of employees still left.

Happy Holidays!  Ciao

Usually naa malipay ug naa pud dili aneng retrenchment/redundancy package.  Pero for employees whose tenure is long enough mao ni sila mag ngisi ug dako compared kaysa normal retirement.  Of course depende sa company compensation policy.  Uso diri karon neng outsourcing.  Usually mao ni ang formula:   Factor  X rate X length of service.

Nagdate mi sa akong bana nag dinner sa nice restaurant.Gibilin ang mga bata sa babysitter. It was the second most expensive dinner nako rong tuiga kay appreciation bitaw to nga dinner sa Beck seed company.
