Such as TV, Computers / Internets, Movies, Gadgets, etcâ€¦.

We are living in so called new generation but at the same time we lives from the old theories of Physics, Algebra, calculus, etc ... meaning the ancient people are brighter than the people in this new generation.

I am personally proven that the leisure of ancient people were studying and conducting experiments for new useful theories during their era, while this generation the students most of them are playing internet, watching TV shows, instead of reading books during their off days.

So, in my community I would suppose to push a resolution to ban all these Gadgets in order to have fruitful future those children living in our community.

The ICT is a very powerful tool, and if anyone is curious enough or "experimentative" enough to explore all posibilities, ones knowledge (both positive and negative knowledge) can even increase a hundred-fold or more. But the problems mentioned boils down to one thing committed parenting and proper guidance coupled with proper discipline (NO should always be NO, as YES should also be YES, not flexible wherein NO today, YES tomorrow). As parents, we must also know what our kids are into (except for the very intimate ones of course) learn about it, and encourage what's good about. As for TV well, sad to say, there are plenty of mundane, senseless and downright mind-numbing programming around. I can remember when I was much, much younger my grandma and my uncles would watch TV with me, ask me questions and when I ask about what I see they explain it to. And even about movies, during dinner or lunch everyone joins in on the discussions epressing their views on a certain film or episode of a TV series. Backthen they had Sesame Street and "Electric Company" which had greatly helped improved my reading, on my english asnd science too. I remember also watching a science show which was an sponsored by the USAID. But again, the key is proper guidance and monitoring. But, sad to say, most parents nowadays, just switch on the TV, leave the kids and don't even bother to care or to know about what they are watching. They even allow their thier kids to watch shows during weekdays/schooldays when supposedly it's the time of week that they are to be supposedly studying or making their homework while the parents guide their kids on their studies and assignments. TV can either mold your kids minds or make "molds" (kanang agup-op bitaw) out of your kids minds...I am telling this out of experience. It's NO-NO for my kids to watch TV from Monday-Friday particularly when it's not vacation time. They can watch TV on weekends as long as all their chores are done...

D.D. I've worked a lot of children which were identified as "low functioning" and they have these different gadgets to enhance their learning (T.V., computers, Wii, D.S. vantage and etc.).

Genes and environment influence children intellectual and social development.

We, people learn in different ways (Theory of Multiple Intelligence by Howard Gardner):
Bodily-kinesthetic, Interpersonal, Verbal-linguistic, Logical-mathematical, Naturalistic, Intrapersonal, Visual-spatial, Musical, Other intelligences.

I watched last night at TLC about "twin savants". They have autism and they were called "autistic savants". They have mental disabilities and socially impaired but on the other hand they have extraordinary mental abilities not found in most people.

Nothing, just was a plain questioned. We knew that working Pinay in Japan commonly known as 'Japayoki' right ? and that is not objectionable to anyone (Pinay) in Japan and that is their trade name.

I realized, how about the working Pinay in Germany and what is their trade name? Is it sound like working Pinay in Japan? and these are all my own assertion/perception on that issue.

Anaa sab gamay, ako laging dugangan kay nanghatag man god ang Department of Agriculture ug seedlings sa lubi kanang tag 5 years lang mobunga na, may 5 hectaryas pa akong tanoman karong buwan sa Mayo kay ting-ulan maayo ipananom. Akong mangahan 3 hectarya na bwesit ko sa mga ongoy apang-unhon ug kuha.

Naa ra nato kong gusto ka sa usa butang, pananglitan gusto maging haciendero makab-ot na basta paningkamotan.
