John 3:16-18 ESV

Absolutely!
Christianity is not something a person professed to be
  but having a personal  relationship with Christ our Savior.
Spiritual growth is necessary in preparation for eternity after
   the physical body is put 6 feet under.

Spirituality, for me, is important. It is the bond between man and his faith in God, it resonates that said relationship.
