I was lucky last March 27 to be in Herzogenrath, Aachen to see this train of commemoration. The Reichsbahn now the Deutsche Bundesbahn was an instrument during the Nazi regime in deporting Jews, children, misfits and gypsies to the gas chambers. Some were able to survive and asking for financial compensation. This expositition whose purpose is to seek truth and justice, is not supported by the German government. This project is made possible through private donors and public initiative.
