Moving on
« on: July 23, 2007, 02:00:04 AM »
I think the hardest part of my job is moving on. Being so far away from home, we in the military make our own family, black, white, brown,purple,yellow... just like out real family, we don't chose who our family is. So when it's time to move on, it's like leaving your family again, and contrary to what people say, you never move on. They are with you forever, just like your family is with you forever.

It must be very very hard. Labi na gyud kay layo pa gyud kaayo sa tinuoray nga pamilya.. But militaries are the country's heroes

It's not as glamorous as people make it out to be but the discounts that you get at stores are a perk  ;D. I hate to meet wonderful people just to leave them in a year or so and to have them leave me. I've been in and out of love so many times it's like stabbing yourself, over and over you know these people are going to leave you so why go through the whole thing again? Hope, I guess. Hope that this time he'll stay. This time we won't move on, this time I won't be alone. It's sad and sometimes I even think of myself a little pathetic holding on to something so illusive. But okay, I'm a romantic, and there is nothing much I can do about it. That's who I am.

We are all here for you, Hip.

It's okay... we understand that as of the moment you may be "chained" on to something--- maybe your present career or a relationship --  that you just can't let go... will not let go...

But we are all here for you.

We answer your call

We listen

Thanks everybody. I needed the reassurance. I'm moving to a new duty assignment and i was only given a month's notice. It wasn't enough time for me to emotionally prepare myself. It reminds me of when I migrated to the states for that first time. I had to leave everything and here I am again leaving everything that I have grown familiar too. I knew that it would come eventually, but I didn't know that it ould be this soon.
This is the life i chose. And as much heartache that comes with it, it has it's perks. The traveling, the people, the respect, the experience. It's all worth it. This is where I am needed and I will stay here until it is time for me to move on.
