Dear Mr. President,
It was around this time 6 years ago when I got a personal call from you asking me if I wanted to join you in rebuilding our country that, at that time, was ravaged by incompetent powerful fools who cared nothing for the Filipino people and caused us untold harm and grief.
I am no longer the same person I was when I first joined you in rebuilding our country.
My heart has been split open by the sufferings of our people. Some days I doubt if my heart will ever mend.
And yet I must thank you.
You have taken me to places inside myself that I never knew existed until you took me there.
You have taught me how it is to truly love our country. I have only needed to look at you to know.
Wake up, lay your life down for the people. Serve them. Make their lives better. Heal them. Fight for them. Defend them. Protect them. Go to bed. Wake up. Do the same thing over and over.
And if anything confused me, all I’ve ever had to do was look at you.
This, you seemed to say, is how to love the Filipino people. With your life—nothing less. Go out there—right to the edge of the cliff—and JUMP!
And so it was easy for me to stare down a member of the European Parliament and tell him to his face that the Philippines, my beloved country is a sovereign nation and that he had no right to make demands on us nor to interfere in matters that are no concern of his.
And it has been easy --oh so easy—to unsheath my sword and cut off the heads of the Hydra-the terrorist CPP NPA NDF— that had devoured our children whole and caused our mothers to cry endless tears of grief at the loss of their children.
The bashings that I got in CPP-fueled social and mainstream media that were meant to cow me into silence (haha idiots) were meryenda I ate with relish while cackling like a witch. Pasikat ko sayo, Sir. See, I would mental-telepathy to you, I am fearless like you and like you, all these mean a grand total of nothing to me. And like you again, all that mattered was to get the job done well.
I have met kings and queens and feasted with royalty in palaces because of you. And I have climbed mountains and crossed rivers and embraced the poorest of the poor among us and wiped their tears away.
I have sat across negotiation tables where I got to make lives better and where the CPP got decimated even more. And you have given me the power to cut down to size terrorists who preyed on our people.

The honor of my life is to have served my country under the best president this country has ever had so far. This adventure you’ve given me will be hard to top.
Mahal na mahal kita, Sir. Alam mo yan. Alam ng PSG yan. Naka alert sila pag nandyan na ako because they know I will hug and kiss you. LOL. So when they try to dakma me, I look at you and you rescue me and tell them to let me hug and kiss you. Perks of my job. lol.
We have a little over a month more and we are winding down.
A new President has been elected by an amazing landslide in credible and clean elections under your watch and we will be waltzing out of Malacañan in a few breaths.
The grandeur of our democracy enshrined in a peaceful transfer of power is happening. This is one of your last tasks. And I will be with you till the end, Sir, assisting you in however way you will need me.
