It´s hard to tell since the Germans have another lifestyle and sense of humor.
The best places to go are Berlin, Cologne and Hamburg.
I'll take that into consideration. I've been planning in visiting Germany for quite some time now; its part of my plan to visit Western Europe in the not too distant future. I have been to Amsterdam (Nederlandse), Kiev (Ukraine), Odessa (Ukraine), and Moscow (Russia). The night life as well as the social life over there is indeed, intriguing. Europeans, in general, or if I may generalize about Eastern Europeans, have a very 'touchy' aura. There is very little sense of personal space, and when they speak it is to your face; as in face-to-face. ha ha ha.
I studied 6 months in Ukraine in an exchange program; those 6 months were marvelous. I toured neighboring Poland, Romania and Moldova. All of these countries were part of the greater economic sphere with Ukraine and the Russian Hegemon.
What I do miss the most is walking by the kiasks of downtown Kiev, and sitting in an unknown cafe. Bringing my book and just sitting there drinking my expressos and reading my book(s) for hours. And just see the Ukrainians walk by. Absorbing everything in. And learning how to read/understand/write in cyrillic. Truly, foreign, in all of its aspects.
Loved it.
