Guess whom did I meet in a metropolis surging with 12 million people on a Sunday? A TB guest!

June 15 is celebrated by Filipinos in many parts of the world as Migrant Workers and Philippine Independence Day.

In Tokyo, the event was celebrated at a railside park in Ouji, a sprawl of lush greenery in the northern suburbs. I attended the event to work, manning two booths and mobilizing about 15 promo girls for two telecom companies. There were entertainers from sponsors ABS-CBN and GMA, the main draw of the event which was attended by some 4,000 to 5,000 Filipinos. Because we were awash with freebies, the two booths I managed had one of the longest lines.

In Filipino gatherings, one or two from the crowd occasionally recognizes me, as I had worked in three publications at different times in the past. But I was surprised when a kindly, soft-spoken lady at the queue popped her head to tell me, "Nakita kita sa TB". As she spoke in Tagalog, at first I thought she said TV, but when I asked her to repeat what she said, she really meant TB.

Ang ngalan niya si Rose Olaer Ueda, from Guindulman. I think she'll read this one of these days. Hi Rose! I think we've known each other by face for a long time. She said she only peeps in occasionally, as she doesn't know how to sign up. I gave her instructions. Apil unja diri sa among kukabildo. Too bad I wasn't able to get photos. Later, she also introduced me to a group of young Boholanos from Taloto,Tagbilaran.

Tubag Bohol has really arrived. I think this Boholano bond will continue to spread round the globe...

Now, you mentioned you were introduced to some people from Taloto, Bene san?  Are they also joining Tubag Bohol?  My Dad's from Taloto so it would be nice to have more members here to represent Taloto District together with Mench, the daughter of Barangay Captain Faro Cabalit! 

To Rose, please do not hesitate to join Tubag Bohol and please invite more Bol-anons apil na ang mga taga Taloto kay sigurado ko kaila akong Papa sa ilang pamilya kay gamay ra bya ang Taloto tanan magkaila.  Apil dire Rose sa atong kukubildo! 

In my youtube account, I've had many messages from people who saw my video tribute on TB. Messages that I've received were on what Bohol is, what the website was about. Many messages are from non-Filipinos and some have been from some of my Spanish friends that I've befriended through youtube.

There is one individual by the name of Miguel, one of my subscibers in youtube, who frequents this site.

Tita Lee aka simplylee approached Daddy at ICM because she saw Dad's picture posted here.  Karon, ilhan na kaayo nila sa amoa ang Tubag Bohol.

Nice bitaw.  Actually, Tita Lee already know my Dad before pa but she didn't know he was my father until she saw in one of the posts here.  And when she saw Daddy at ICM one afternoon, she approached Dad.  Nakurat kuno si Daddy ingon ni Tita Lee.  Then Tita Lee visited our home the day before the fiesta celebration in Manga and it turned out, she actually know most of my family in Taloto and Dad knew too Tita Lee's husband kay si Daddy diay tig ayo sa sakyanan sa Uncle sa bana ni Tita Lee kay mekaniko man si Daddy.  Small world!  We are actually related ni Tita Lee by affinity. If not for Tubag Bohol, di siguro mi mag ila.

Naa mo'y contact nila? Pangutan-a daw kay I was so busy that day I could only spare the minimum social graces of acknowledging them. Mga batan-on pa, murag upat man to sila. I believe they are friends of Rose Olaer from Guindulman. I used to just carry my name and Philippines Today as my personal identity. Now I also carry Tubag Bohol around.

Bene san, I didn't think it was my cousin Angelyn.  She is based in Yokote City.  She is suffering cancer of the skin.  I haven't heard from her for awhile.  I hope she is okay.  I will find a phonecard so I can call her this week.
