Reflection: On Other People's Feelings
« on: August 20, 2009, 09:26:15 AM »
Have you ever stopped to wonder to think about how others felt? The kinds of things you were saying, gossipping, lying, and spreading false rumors of other people?

Have you ever wondered the kind of damage it would do to the feelings of friends and those involved?

I mean, sure, to live one's life is fine, and enjoy your emotional and sentimental boundaries is fine, but have you ever just stopped to wonder the feelings of others in the kinds of things that you were whispering to others?

I sure have thought about it. Sure, I realize that there have been things that I have said in my life that I felt compelled to say by personal conviction and in the spirit of intellectual discourse with other colleagues. For the spirit of spirited and academic-based discussion.

But when the kinds of things that are being exchanged are personal, derogatory, and by all means---sexual and irresponsible, that should be a warning sign. A border zone breach.

Then again, it all falls on one's notion of personal and common decency. Respect.

For some of us it exists, for some, it may be an abstract concept.

Nonetheless, its never too late re-address the situation and or ponder on it.

I want to know the views of my fellow Bol-anon compatriots.
Share with us.

Cheers,
Bran Lorenz

Even when we are direct to some people,
Provide clear and concise transparency,
still some will take advantage of our generosity,
and our availability.

In these instances,
rather than give in to their curses and their negativity,
it is best to bless them.

God Tells us to bless those who curse us,
and slander us and those whom we love.

Bless them in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Better to suffer for Christ
than to live defying His Commands.

A brother in Christ,
Assured in Christ,
