I've always heard it defined as unmerited favor from God.

For me,

Grace. What is grace?

I was contemplating today just on this issue, and concept. The grace to do good, the grace to hold your ground, the grace to be compassionate, the grace to move on after a wound, a separation, a deep hurting. The grace to rise above the situation. All of these are our own possible examples of personal Grace. Yes, brothers and sisters, but what I was deeply struck by is the Grace that comes from GOD.

And there are two verses in scripture that touched me, that pierced deep into my soul, that widened my eyes to deeper understanding and to contemplation, that I, too, would like to share with you all. For by Grace it was shown to me, and by Grace of the Holy Spirit that I share with you, my loved brothers and sisters.

Romans 5:1-2:-Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God.

2 Corinthians 9:8:- And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

---

So as observe, Grace, indeed, is a source, a foundation, a rectification, a justification, a solid force, a pedestal of comfort, a gift that comes not from Us, no, it is a Gift give to US by The Lord God In Heaven. Who by the death and resurrection of HIS Son, Christ Jesus, have appropriated to each and everyone one of us.

Just take the time to contemplate, to resound in the beauty of Scriptural Truth.
From which, every good work and basis of Faith, comes from.

Through the Power of the Blood of Christ,
Who justifies Us.

So, your turn. :)

I want to add something lang, a symbolic view point.

We all are sinners. Am I right?
Romans 3:23 expounds on this "For All Have Sinned and fallen Short of the GLORY of GOD."

So it is written. But though we all are deserving of death for our sins, we are, nonetheless given the saturation of Faith that comes from the death and rising of Our Savior, Jesus Christ.

In Adam, we fell. Death consumed us. But through the incarnation of the Living Word, Christ Jesus, who was born of the Virgin Mary, and was sentenced to death by Pontius Pilate, was given unto the Cross to satiate the penalty of Death that was Ours.

For it is written: "The Penalty of Sin is DEATH."
We are reminded of this in Romans 6:23:- For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Do you see, brothers and sisters?

You and I are deserving of Death. In fact, we are doomed to death--which will happen. As we all die, but the death that I am talking about is the soul. Because Christ offered HIMSELF on the Cross, he paid the price that was supposed to be for US. So we, being faithful christians and holding to God's Word, are washed. Cleansed. Saved!

We are purified through the Blood of Christ, and His Crucifixion on the Cross.

He died so that we might Live.
He rose on the third day, so that, we, too, might share the Glory that is our reward in Heaven.

By Grace we abound in Faith.
By Grace we are Saved.
Grace Saves. Grace is a Gift.
Not from Man, nor any animated or created thing.
But a Gift from the Eternal Living GOD.

That. Is powerful contemplation.
