It's so true!  I'm guilty of doing things that I'm used to, eating at places that I've been to, and I need to change this. I need to explore more and get out of this so called ...comfort zone.

And for the life of me, I've been dating only doctors or medical students. I think I'm going to date women of more varied / different caliber.

I must admit, it's hard to be in a relationship with a doctor especially if one is also a doctor.

Or perhaps I'm too headstrong? And my x was also super head strong ? Or maybe I have a subconscious attraction to head strong / confident women? LOL!

I don't know. There are so many nurses at work who have asked to hang out with me, but I don't find them....intriguing enough.

I always end up mentally comparing them to my x. As if she establishes criteria.

Last week I went on a date with a Serbian girl I met at a cafe. Very nice girl, her accent sounds like a mix of Russian and French lol. I'm not sure to invest more, but she does make me feel comfortable. Tho she is not a doctor, she's in architecture. I should be open to the possibilities of exploring outside my usual preferences / comfort zone.

right on!  anything is possible, though being with a fellow doctor might lessen the friction over schedules.  (perhaps only a doctor would understand the demanding schedule of a doctor.)  but who can say?  expat workers may have it worse, yet most of their unions or marriages work out fine.

besides, beyond the comfort zone the space can turn many ways-- heaven on earth, refugee center, or a war zone.
