bohol most certainly needs an airport that has a runway that can accomodate aircraft larger than boeing 737s, but NOT necessarily an international airport. an international airport is much bigger and thus requires a bigger allotment for MOOE. if they cannot generate this annual fund requirement from internally-generated income thru airport operations, then it becomes a losing enterprise to begin with... even if there were 3 daily incoming flights coming directly to bohol from foreign destinations which in my estimate is wayyyy too many, i don't believe that the income generated by this traffic volume is sufficient enough to operate and maintain airport operations by international standards... at this point in time, it is my firm belief that the international airport dream is a losing proposition. its proponents should wake up from such lofty dreams and be practical about it by settling for an airport that is simply a bigger version of the present tagbilaran city airport.

with regards to negative impacts such as prostitution, VDs etc. we can make bohol a wholesome place by providing controls on the proposed tourism development. when we were in panglao at the geen meadows resort, my officemates ask me to guide them to the red district in tagb. city but i told them there is none in our province capital bcoz we boholanos are religious and our islands are a wholesome place to relax!
syempre they felt bored but when the sun shines in the morning they were greeted by the the sparkling and crystal clear blue sea with a cool easterly breeze that come from the pacific ocean. it was a magnificent day that really sooths our hangover. they were also amazed by the corrals and variety of fishes species in balicasag island. they concluded that next time they will bring their families to bohol for a wholesome vacation!

Very religious bitaw ang mga Bolanon. Dinhi galing sa Southern New Jersey we have an annual dedication and benediction for the Blessed Santo Nino, which goes from house to house. Last time ning anhi ang  Blessed Senor Santo Nino; over 30 some Bisayans came.

It was a cultural experience for me and my siblings because there was an older lady who led the prayer dedication and said the prayer in Bisaya.

When i heard it I immediately thought and remembered of my Lolas who used to pray devotional prayers to the Blessed Santo Nino.

It gives you a deep appreciation jud of the religiosity of the Filipino in general.
