To Ma. Ramonica Llagas, Miss Analiza Villanueva and pupils who participated in the Division
     Com. Arts Fest in English.

Congratulations for winning the first place in Rap Contest last Feb. 28,2008 during the English Com. Arts Fest, Division Level held at RMCES Gym  and second place for declamation in English, District Level. Members of the rap team were Alvin Dampales, Ronald Dian, Ralf Bajao, Kristina Perez and Danessa Lay Palen.The trainor, Ma. Ramonica Llagas wrote this original composition.   
Analiza Villanueva coached the English declamation.
                The Rap:   
          Intro. Ronald: People of the world, lets all shout and say, ha  ha  ha ha. Lets put our 
                     hands together and say, hello.... hi  hi  hi
          Churos: Filipino (4 times)  Bebo bebo be (3 times) your the man   (2 times)
          Ralf: The race you can be proud of Lapu-lapu, Dagohoy and Gomburza offer their lives
                  to fight for freedom.
                       (Repeat Churos)
           Kristina: And know lets talk about Rizal and Luna, Bonifacio, Gabriela and Tandang Sora
                    who also died for freedom only to save our country free.
                        (Repeat Churos)
           Danessa: And now lets have the new Filipino heroes, Garduce, Oracion the first Filipino
                     to reach Mount Everest. Manalo Pagulayan and Efren Bata Reyes.
            All: Lets go 9 balls.
            Alvin: Lets go boxing we have Donaire, Penalosa,  Bombom Bautista in our land Manny
                     Pacquiao.
            All: Lets get ready to rumble.

             Ronald: Don't you know guys when you say Filipino you can never beat them, so lets be
                      proud and lets be honor for Filipino is the race full of grace. We are the youth
                       of the land the pride and Joy ( 2 times). People of the world lets shout and say

Lets all pray for the approval of SEnate Bill No. 1691 which aims to increase salaries of teachers in the public schools to grade salary 19 with a  basic pay of not less than P 19 000.

Yes, we are all busy for the coming closing exercises. We will have a colorful program this coming March 25 because the newly organized Aplaya Elem. School Drum and Bugle will have their first palabas . This was posible through the effort and initiative of our super active principal, Mr. Erlito T. Damo

Digos City Division was awarded Plaques of Recognition for being -the Top Performing Division in the National Achievement Test (NAT) SY 2005-06 in all five learning areas (English, Math, Science, Filipino and HEKASI) Elementary level-one of the Top three Divisions with the highest gains in NAT (elementary level)

    “This award is a manifestation of our best practice where the learning communities are challenged to work more in their search for effective and efficient strategies for student learning.”

    Thus, School Division Superintendent Alfonso G. Gomez, Jr. CESO V, said after receiving the award President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo had given worth 30,000 pesos and a Certificate of Appreciation to the Digos City Division for attaining a good performance during the National Achievement Test given on March 2007 on September 12, 2007 at the Malacañang Palace.

    Digos City Division, which ranked second in the third cluster with 5,000 examinees and less, achieved a total average of 79.61 percent in the five key area taken namely English, Science, Mathematics, Filipino and HEKASI.

    Together with the Division in the cluster 3 top lists are Ormoc City, Balanga City, Maasin City and Calapan City divisions.

    In the division NAT results, out of 33 public grade schools in Digos City, Colorado Elementary School obtained the highest average in the 200-item test with 91.30 percent.  Igpit Elementary School followed after with 89.5 percent and Matti Elementary School with 86.06 percent.

    Other schools in the top 10 are Soong Elementary School with 85.47 percent; San Miguel Elementary School with 85.15 percent; Ruparan Elementary School with 84.84 percent; Domingo Abawag Elementary School with 84.09 percent; Damñas Elementary School with 83.74 percent; Balabag Elementary School with 83.20 percent and Dawis Elementary School with 83.10 percent.

    Digos City School Division Superintendent remarked that the achievement of Digos City in the National Achievement Test in 2007 has demonstrated a foundation towards attaining any successful endeavor.

    “I also consider the high motivation among our school leaders and teachers as the foundation in aiming for a higher achievement among our students”, he added.


    Gomez thanked the people of Digos City especially those who are in the Local Government Unit, parents and the community partners and stakeholders for the collective ability in reinforcing the confidence of all in the DepEd Digos City Division.

    On the other hand, Arroyo also honoured the top 20 grade six public school students and the top 30 schools and other 15 divisions, taken by 1.6 million grade six students from 29,962 public nationwide.

Digos City Division undertakes MiSPACE ToT; SDS Gomez prefers MI module 
Digos City Division undertook BEAM Mindanao e-Learning Space (MiSPACE) on August 9-10, 2007 at Ramon Magsaysay Elementary School, Digos City. The two-day training was participated in by fifteen (15) selected school administrators and the three (3) public schools district supervisors who will eventually become trainers in their schools and districts respectively.

Posted  above is the achievement  of Digos City  Division. Aplaya Elementary School is the biggest  barrio school in the said division.
