Title: Alindanaw
Post by: Ligalig-Mike on September 22, 2007, 07:16:26 AM
(in memory of my childhood years in anda, bohol, philippines)

sinulat ni m. ligalig

mitiurok ang patayng dahon
paingon sa ugang yuta
ug gisilhig kini gilayon
sa huyop sa kalit nga hangin

akong gigukod ang dahon
nga naglupad palayo kanako

buot kong mosakay sa dahon

apan naunhan ko sa alindanaw

kaganina ra diay ko niya naapsan

nadungog ko ang katawa sa alindanaw
nga milanog sa kapunawpunawan

mihunong ko sa pagdagan

nanakop nalang ko ug kapan.

It's on the plan. A friend in Germany, a schoolmate in Silliman, will look for a printer in Germany that will publish this collection of Bisayan poems.

A book published abroad would give more honor to our Bisayan language.

Your book puhon is the most highly anticipated literary work by Bisayans, Mike.

I can't wait to get my hands on an autographed copy.

I am thinking of publishing this Bisayan book as collaborative efforts of those who love the Bisayan language. Honestly, I don't have enough resources to have our language preserved and promoted. My friend in Germany has tentatively pledged to help the publication.

The plan is Volume 1 - compilation of 177 poems - about 250 pages. Quite thick. :)
